WELFARE POLICY STATEMENT
The Key objectives in providing the Welfare function are to GIVE ADVICE
IF MEMBERS ARE IN HOSPITAL
a. To visit. b. If requested, ascertain what medical assistance is being given. c. If requested, contact next of kin and identify relatives friends and neighbours. d. Provide list of names and telephone numbers of carers who may be able to assist. e. If blood is required arrange blood donors.
IF MEMBERS ARE AT HOME
a. If requested discuss their needs. b. Identify relatives, friends and neighbours who can continue to give support. c. If requested, to give names and telephone numbers of appropriate doctors and specialists d. Provide list of names and telephone numbers of carers who may be able to assist.
WELFARE FUND - USE OF FUNDS
1. Provide expenses of unpaid helpers 2. Advertising 3. Assistance with costs of Medical Equipment that cannot be borrowed or hired,
