The Society is now recognised by the
Government as the representative voice of the British & European expatriate
community. Regular meetings with a formal agenda, under the Chairmanship of the
Presidential Under Secretary take place between representatives of the Society
and senior representatives of the relevant Government Departments. In this way
the Society is able to present matters of concern for some solution, obtain
information on present and future Government proposals affecting the expatriate
community and present ideas for improvements to services.
