How to get a TRNC
driving licence
Driving licences are
issued by the Driving Licence Directorate, a part of the Income and
Tax central Office of the Ministry of Finance. The directorate is at
Sahlih Mecit Street
Nicosia

Foreigners in North
Cyprus on a visit visa may use their national driving licence for up
to 3 months.
Those wishing to drive
for longer than 3 months should apply for a TRNC licence.
Requirements are -
a) passport bearing a
residence permit and a photocopy of the photo page and permit;
b) 2 pasport size
photos;
c)original and a
photocopy of the national driving licence;
d)application form;
e)fee (depends on
validity of licence – 2,3,5, or 10 years
If you need to confirm
your UK driving licence details, telephone +441792782341 to ask for
a D737 form. This is a certificate confirming licence details. The
certificate costs £5.00 and can be sent by mail or faxed on the day
of request. If needed, the certificate can be faxed to the British
High Commission who will make a certified copy (there is a charge)
for use with the Department of Transport in Nicosia.
