Health and Travel Insurance Scheme
The British Residents’ Society has taken advantage of its “group” status and sourced a quality group health care scheme and travel insurance scheme with premium discounts that you would not be able to obtain on an individual basis. We have done this with the assistance of a U.K. based insurance broker Nevett & Taylor Ltd.

The British Residents’ Society recognises that quality affordable private medical insurance is of paramount importance for their members. That is why Nevett & Taylor have a special 10% discount for all of their members on any Expatriate Healthcare plan. You can choose between two excess options. Either nil or €50. The policy excess is applied per ‘medical condition’. Therefore no matter how many times you need to receive treatment for the same medical condition, the excess is only applied once during each period of cover. For the nil excess option an additional premium of 5% is payable regardless of age at entry. Furthermore, an additional Excess which usually applies to entrants over the age of 60 (between €2,000 and €5,000, dependant upon your age and is not reflected on Expatriates on-line quick quote system) can be reduced to just €50 per period of cover! The cost to have the excess reduced is a 20% loading on top of the published rates, after taking off the 10% discount this equates to a net increase in the published premium of 8%.
