A letter from your local Muhtar is now required annually when renewing your Temporary Residence Permit this was only required previously required with the initial application. Charges for this letter will vary and the letter requires a 1 YTL stamp applicants are required to sign the form at the Muhtars office.
 
Currently the value of stamps required is as follows
 
1)Muhtars Letter  1 YTL
2)First application for Temporary Residency at your local İmmigration Police Office 7 YTL
3)First application and on all annual renewals Central İmmigration Lefkosa   5 YTL
 
İ would also confirm that Residence Permits are not required for under 18 year olds
