The Summer Dance was a great success with 213 members and friends in attendance. This is the largest number to attend our Summer Dance for several years.

The terrace of the Denizkizi Hotel proved yet again to be a wonderful setting for this event.

Guests were greeted with a glass of Bucks Fizz followed by a superb dinner of meze

(including smoked salmon, calamari and prawns) followed by mixed kebab, a varied selection of deserts, fruit, tea or coffee and brandy.

Guests were able to dance the night away to Werner Fayer’s ‘Steam Machine’ and the husband and wife duo of Aydin and Ôzlem.

We are very grateful to Iktisat bank for their sponsorship of the evening and to the Windmill Hotel who made a donation of 820ytl from their ‘bingo’ evenings.

With the ‘Hearts are Winners’ tombola and the proceeds from the auction almost £2,000.00 was raised for the Central Blood Bank in Lefkoşa to purchase much needed equipment.
