B.R.S. Lunch to Welcome New Members.

On Saturday 27 February the British Resident’s Society held a lunch at the Pia Bella Hotel to welcome members who joined the Society in 2009.

Members took advantage the lull in the rain to enjoy a pre lunch drink in the sun .

114 members attended the lunch of whom 46 were new members. Guests were Claire Lawley and Roger Woods from the British High Commission, and Taner and Peyman Erginel.

Chairman Morton Coles made a welcome speech, and Vice Chairman Stephen Day thanked him for all his hard work over the past year and asked members to urge their friends to join the B.R.S.

A raffle raised 1,200TL for the B.R.S. fund to provide equipment for the central Blood Bank in Lefkosa. The B.R.S. would like to thank all those who generously donated prizes.
